and......

we are not moving.
 Boo.

as the saying goes...it just wasn't meant to be. The cute little home with the amazing property turned out to be more of a ummm "situation" so, as hard as it was to let it go, it was necessary. Honestly, I think this whole process shaved a good 5 years off my life, and a little R&R is in order! (yea right)

More to come, I have a bunch of projects that I was working on here, lots of DIY and rehab stuff, some thrifted furniture and such that I had big plans for. I promise to post some this week and I'm even starting to work on a little makeover on the blog too~ kinda needs it right?

So what are you doing to unwind this summer, books? projects? packing and unpacking your house for fun? I'd love to know :)

  1. Oh no! Major suckage! I hope you can get the rest you need and pick up those lost 5 years. I'd say think positive, blah blah blah, but really the best medicine is probably a cupcake and a romantic comedy. Something sweet and some laughs. We are leaving in two weeks to go on our "guilt trip" aka a road trip to see family. Not too much of a vacation, but I borrowed "The Grapes of Wrath" on tape from the library, so at least the drive will be fun. I'm only half kidding, but the end of the two week trip will be spent up in the U.P. on a lake, and that will be the vacation part. I hope you find that cabin on a lake in NH to rest for a while. Can't wait for the pics of the new projects!

  2. I am so sorry that it fell through! What a downer! We were considering buying our first home this year but decided to rent another year because the whole process seems so intimidating right now! In the end, when one door closes, another will open, right? :)

  3. Love that image Gina...it suits me so perfectly right now. Frayed and falling apart, but still beautiful (one hopes).

I'm really sorry to hear about your housing stuff. Blergh!
