Hi again, thought I would pop in and share a (new to me) blog The Searched and Found, totally dedicated to celebrating handmade on Etsy, as I browsed the pages I found so many artists and shops that I had never seen before, I love that! I think it's great to find something new and see it done well, I'm hoping to be a supportive sponsor soon, what do you think?
Below are a few of her Friday finds~ pretty great!
Do check out Chaucee's Blog, leave a comment, visits some links....and of course, have a great weekend!
Perhaps it's all the birthday hoopla but I'm a little driven to distraction today, I think it comes with territory, lots of different tasks, and sometimes it just seems impossible to focus and truly accomplish one thing.
So for today I put down the growing tasks of my design job and picked up my camera for a bit of a break. Just my opinion that picnik is way more fun to play with than photoshop, I spend much of my time editing in photoshop, some of it is quite straight forward and a little boring, it's a nice change~
my 39th year that is....yup one day away, and I CAN'T WAIT! Here is just a little piece of wisdom I have gained over the last year of being 39, It. Sucks.
Because quite frankly, everyone you know (and don't know) will remind you that you are in deed one year away from 40, there is a lot of ..."someone has a birthday coming up" and "wow your turning 40", and "almost at the big four O" seriously? We all know the age we are turning and have our own feelings about it, and like most people I did spend the last year thinking what it means, where am I supposed to be, was there something amazing I was supposed to accomplish by this age?
I don't know.
I do know it doesn't matter, in the end it really is just another year.
Way back in January when I had a solid week off for the holidays, I started planning for the changes I wanted to make for myself and my family, and taking note of the things that are truly important to us. More time, More space, More creative work. I do know how to attain those things the answer is quite simple, the decision quite complicated. Selling my house, downsizing, moving to a community that more matches our lifestyle, sounds like heaven, and I am pleased that my kids (with much discussion) are excited about the plans too.
This is what is totally motivating me about turning 40, being able to make positive changes and truly live my life in the way that makes me happy, and being able to share that with my lulus's.
The images are from the flowering tree in my backyard, it's what I see out my office window~ if only you could smell it~ amazing, it only lasts a few days like this, so I go a little nuts over it every year.
this is from my window~ the distortion is from the old rippled glass~ something I will miss.
Hi folks~ Hope everyone enjoyed a long weekend, just incredibly inspiring weather here and it looks like it's going to last a while~ bliss! I spent some time enjoying the small things, going for a run, cooking, yardwork, bike rides with the kids~ fun.
Thought I would quickly pass along this recipe from Fresh365 blog, simple food with a vegetarian slant, I've mentioned it before, but this Baked Brie with cherries and rosemary and almonds, did not disappoint, amazing~ I brought this to a family get together yesterday and the only downside was that I didn't use a bigger wheel of brie- so quick and easy, give it a try, and don't forget the pepper crackers :)
Lots of work to do this week, and I already feel the pull of warm sun and the birds chirping outside the window..... ohhh I want to go play, have a great Monday ~
