revived

Hello there, it's been a while since I've played around with fabric and felt genuinely motivated to make something new, until this week that is. A few posts back there were a few images of some dyed pillow covers I had made, these were an attempt this past summer to make pieces that were each unique.  Here is what I learned during that attempt. Never dye fabric outside, or rather never dry fabric outside. Why? Wind. Wind blows tiny particles of leaves and tree's and dust and it settles into the fabric upon drying and that makes for dirty looking fabric that can't be sold. So thats what I learned that day, control your environment.

Above is just a sneak peak, I've learned so much about hand dying and I will share as soon as I get all these new goodies loaded into the shop. *Note* the use of pink here...I am in a major pink phase, not sure what's going on with that, I just like it. So for Friday, a bunch of pink stuff, so check back.

  1. Very cool. I am in a blue phase lately which is strange for me because I am not usually attracted to blue. Except in denim. I can't wait to see the new stuff!!
