Pictures from Plot 70

Doesn't look like much right? Trust me when I tell you that I had no idea just how much work Plot 70 at the community garden was going to be. This might all sound very boring, but I have quickly become a little bit obsessed. Pretty much all of my free time is now spent on this small patch of dirt, it's been a few weeks worth of rather hard work, and I am just now starting to see the "fruits of my labor" so to speak.

no explanation of why this only loads upside down~

Garden essential = sexy yellow crocs

Ho-ed

Butternut Squash

Pumpkins & Watermelon

the word on the plot is that the weeds are quite aggressive here, so we made an effort to keep it "green" and went with newspaper and hay as a weed block~everything biodegrades back into the soil.

Chocolate Peppers~

Still have half the plot to plant, but I did get a new Lensbaby last week, so once I"m a little more comfortable with it I'll share some images. Have a great week!

  1. "Plot 70" sounds like the title to a sci-fi book. Love the photos, especially the yellow garden essentials. And you are growing pumpkins?! What kind, mini white ones by chance? I dream of growing pumpkins.
